Light-up of autumn leaves at Reishoji Temple in Ono City, Nagano Prefecture. The prefectural treasure gate and ginkgo trees will be fantastically illuminated.

Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, will hold an autumn foliage lighting event at Reishoji Temple (6665 Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture), the oldest Soto Zen temple in the prefecture. The event will run from October 29 to November 6 (18:00 to 21:00).

This project started in 2019 in an attempt to “create a nighttime tourist spot” in the local area. Reishoji Temple, opened in 1404, is also known as a spot for viewing the autumn foliage, and visitors can enjoy the elegant sight of the prefectural treasure, the gate, and the “Ohatsuki ginkgo” that forms ginkgo biloba on the leaves (free admission).

On limited days during the period, a free shuttle bus will also be available between Omachi Onsenkyo, JR Shinano Omachi Station, and Reishoji Temple.
