S.RIDE, a cab dispatch service, News Technology, and Kokusai Jidosha will collaborate with the movie “Sadako DX,” which opens in theaters on October 28, to offer “Sadako Taxis” in the world of the film for a limited time in Tokyo. The period is from October 24 to November 6.
Sadako Taxi projects visuals of Sadako on the car’s window signage, and also broadcasts special videos exclusive to the cab and trailers for the movie “Sadako DX” on the in-car mobility media. In addition, the taxi will offer powerful contents such as AR using a smartphone, which will allow visitors to enjoy the experience of Sadako crawling out of the monitor in front of them.
The service area is limited to 50 vehicles (Kokusai Jidosha) in the 23 wards of Tokyo, Musashino, and Mitaka areas. Cars can be called by using the “S.RIDE” application (Android/iOS version).
In addition, a campaign is underway to win Sadako sheets, magnets, etc. by taking photos or videos of Sadako cabs you see around town, and following the official Twitter (@sadako3d) and posting them with “#Sadako is spreading the word”. Entries will be accepted until November 13.
