Casio Computer Co., Ltd. will release a new EDIFICE model, the ECB-2000MFG, a collaboration model of Shuichi Shigeno’s manga “Initial D” and “MF Ghost” on November 11.
Prior to this, the company will begin accepting reservations on November 1. The price is 49,500 yen.
Initial D” is a manga about a mountain pass runner and was serialized in Kodansha’s “Young Magazine” from 1995 to 2013. MF Ghost” began serialization in Young Magazine in 2017 as its successor. The manga is about real-life racing on public roads, and a TV anime is scheduled to be broadcast from 2023.
The “ECB-2000MFG” expresses the world of motorsports depicted in “Initial D” and “MF Ghost. The onomatopoeia “gaaa” common to the two works is engraved on the back of the dial and band, and the metal ring is laser-engraved with a design of tire marks from drifting.
