TAG Heuer has unveiled the second of two “Mario Kart” themed TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph Collector’s Limited Editions, the second of the brand’s collaborative watches with Nintendo.
Two models are launched: a chronograph and a tourbillon chronograph. TAG Heuer and Nintendo collaborated to customize every detail.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph with automatic Calibre 16 is a limited edition of 3,000 pieces. The Mario Kart logo on the polished tachymeter bezel is coated with Super-LumiNova, while the pusher at 2 o’clock and the crown are red lacquered.
The crown is engraved with Mario’s M mark, and the exclusive screw-down caseback features a silhouette and logo of Mario in a race car. the permanent seconds counter at 9 o’clock, framed in the iconic red color, features Mario. the date window at 3 o’clock features a date window at 4 o’clock. familiar killer and bananas from Mario Kart occasionally appear in place of the date.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition Tourbillon Chronograph is an Haute Horlogerie limited to 250 pieces worldwide. The crown and pushers are made of brushed steel, and the screw-down caseback in grade 5 titanium features a sapphire crystal glass with the Mario Kart logo.
The upper right side of the polished black ceramic bezel with tachymeter scale, which can measure up to 400 km/h, is decorated with the Mario Kart logo applied with white Super-LumiNova.
Two grained chronograph sub-counters at 3 and 9 o’clock, a central tourbillon at 6 o’clock, and a gear wheel at 12 o’clock resembling a cart tire.
