Map Mapion for iOS, with hiragana-only maps. Check difficult-to-read place names, etc.

Posted on October 8, 2022 by News Admin

Map Mapion, a map application operated by ONE COMPATH, has launched “Hiragana Map,” a map in which text notation on the map is displayed in hiragana.

This function was previously available as “Eki no Namae Map,” in which station and municipality names are displayed in hiragana. In addition to station and municipality names, this time, more genres are displayed in hiragana, including public facilities such as parks and schools, commercial facilities such as shopping malls and supermarkets, and road names.

Tap the switching icon on the map and select “Hiragana Map” from the background map, and the information will be displayed in hiragana. This can be used in situations where children who have learned hiragana use maps, or when they want to know how to read difficult-to-read place names, station names, or facility names.

This function is available within the subscription-based paid service “Mapion Plus” (250 yen/month), and can also be used for free for 5 minutes by watching video advertisements.
