Saitama Prefecture has launched a national travel support website.
Saitama Prefecture has named its nationwide travel support the “National Version Travel! Saitama Discount” and the period is from October 11 to December 20 (including check-out on December 21). The subsidy is 40% of the price of a trip to Saitama (up to 8,000 yen for travel products with transportation/up to 5,000 yen for other travel products), and coupons (3,000 yen on weekdays/1,000 yen on holidays) will be given for use in purchasing souvenirs and other items.
Eligible applicants are travelers residing in Japan who have received three doses of the novel corona vaccine or can present a negative certificate such as a PCR test.
As the name suggests, this is a nationwide version of the prefectural discount program, which is in effect until October 10, and the website has been accepting new registrations for lodging facilities and new businesses handling coupons since October 7.
