Shinjuku Metro Group announced that Hanamichi Tokyo Kabukicho (1-6 Kabukicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), a commercial building designed to promote Japanese culture from Kabukicho, will be completed in August 2023, and will open in phases starting October 1, 2023.
The entire building has a Japanese theme and aims to be a new landmark building where visitors can enjoy Edo’s clothing, food, and theater in one place.
The first basement floor will house the Kabukicho Theater, where visitors can enjoy popular theater performances, and the second floor will feature a kimono and kimono rental store and a retro coffee shop called “Coffee Seibu Main Store,” as well as an Edo style food court and barbecue terrace where visitors can enjoy an Edo atmosphere.
