JR West to sell 96 types of “Kaikeitetsu” products on LINE NFT. Lineup added every day.

Posted on October 6, 2022 by News Admin

JR West will start selling the NFT product “JR West Kaitekitetsu NFT Collection” on the marketplace “LINE NFT” on October 14.

The new product follows on the heels of the “West Japan Natsutetsu” tickets featuring trains formerly operated by JR West, and will be offered in a limited edition of 100 for each of the 32 trains, with one train ticket added to the lineup every day after October 14. The additional train will be announced on the special website and Twitter the day before the sale (however, the first day of the sale has already been announced as the “Twilight Express” sleeper express).

Each train has three types of products: trading cards NFT (1,100 yen), 3D figures NFT (3,300 yen), and train marks NFT (2,200 yen), of which the 3D figure NFT is a video containing one of the train chimes that were once used.

Prior to the release, a limited number of 500 limited edition NFT 3D figures of the Series 500 Shinkansen (1,500 yen) will be sold at the 29th Railway Festival to be held at Hibiya Park (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on October 8-9, 2011. In addition, a limited number of actual cards (made of paper) with the same picture as the trading card NFT will be distributed free of charge at the same event and at the “Railway 150th Anniversary Fair” to be held at Osaka Station from October 14 to 15.
