JR East and JR East Service Creation will expand hot coffee (250 yen per cup) to each Shinkansen starting in October.
Hot coffee has been available on a trial basis on some Joetsu Shinkansen trains since July. The coffee is a strong type with a deep roasted flavor and rich bitterness, and has been well received by passengers. The trains covered (with some exceptions) are as follows.
