Rakuten, Inc. opened a special website “WOOD CHANGE: A Journey with Trees” on Rakuten Travel for October 8, “Wood Day” (a day to promote the use of wood).
The site introduces buildings in various parts of Japan that use domestic timber, and proposes travel experiences that allow visitors to come into contact with wood. Users can book accommodations and other facilities listed on the site through Rakuten Travel.
Rakuten is participating in the “WOOD CHANGE PROJECT” launched by the Forestry Agency in 2020, and has been releasing various contents to promote the appeal of domestic timber in conjunction with “Wood Day” every year. This year, “WOOD CHANGE Let’s go meet. Spend various time with wood! and videos showing the appeal of lumber are also available.
