JR East is selling the “JR East Pass Commemorating 150 Years of Railway Business” exclusively through Ekinet, and will hold a campaign in which customers present this pass at NewDays for shopping will receive an original train card as a present. The campaign will run from October 14 to 27.
Upon presentation of the JR East Pass at participating NewDays and purchases of 300 yen or more using “Suica e-money,” customers will receive an original train card on a first-come, first-served basis. The cards are different for each station and store, and the lineup includes six types: Tohoku Shinkansen, Yamagata Shinkansen, Akita Shinkansen, Joetsu Shinkansen, Hokuriku Shinkansen, and Secret. 1 card per JR East Pass will be distributed per account.
Visitors can also collect keywords in the “Virtual Akiba World” treasure chest commemorating the 150th anniversary of the railroad’s opening and take a photo accordingly to win JRE POINT, equivalent to one adult JR East Pass. The period is from October 14, 10:00 to November 10, 10:00.
