J.I. Accident & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd. will begin selling “Web Overseas Travel Insurance,” an overseas travel insurance policy that focuses on web-based application form-less contracting procedures and web-based claim completion, for policies starting on or after December 1.
In the case of overseas travel insurance, the risk of serious disadvantages to travelers is increasing when they become uninsured due to loss of intent to purchase insurance or incomplete entry of information due to the complexity of conventional paper-based procedures. In addition, travelers are becoming increasingly aware of the risks associated with the spread of the new coronavirus, and their needs for digital and non-contact services are also increasing. In light of these circumstances, the company is developing a new web-based overseas travel insurance product.
