Hotel Okura JR Huistenbosch, commemorative cake for the West Kyushu Shinkansen “Kamome”. Limited to 5 pieces per day, sold only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Posted on September 30, 2022 by News Admin

Hotel Okura JR Huistenbosch (10 Huistenbosch-cho, Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture), operated by Okura Hotels & Resorts, will sell “Welcome Kamome,” a cake commemorating the opening of the West Kyushu Shinkansen Line, at the hotel’s first floor cake boutique, Pâtisseríe Shunga Kobo.

This 23cm long cake is a white chocolate representation of the glossy white car body of the West Kyushu Shinkansen “Kamome”. The white chocolate mousse is filled with strawberry confit and has a soft texture and just the right amount of sweetness.

Priced at 2,000 yen per piece. In-store sales will be available only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (11:00-19:00) from October 1 to December 18, and limited to 5 pieces per day. For other sales, advance reservations are required (by 7:00 p.m. three days in advance), and orders for message plates for celebratory occasions are also accepted.
