RV Station Suzuka PA, the first overnight spot for vehicles, opens for a limited time at Suzuka PA; power supply available for 2,200 yen per vehicle

Posted on September 28, 2022 by News Admin

NEXCO Central Japan, Central Japan Exis and Carstay will open “RV Station Suzuka PA,” a spot for overnight stays in a car, at the Suzuka PA on the Shin-Meishin Expressway (E1A) for a limited period. The period is from October 7 to November 27, and reservations will be accepted on Carstay’s website from September 28.

The fee is 2,200 yen per unit, and the hours of use are from 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm the following day. AC power (100V/1500W) is available in the spaces. The number of parking spaces is 5, and available vehicles are 8 x 3.5 m (length x width) or smaller.

This is the first attempt in Japan to provide overnight stay spots that can be used directly from expressway PAs. When using the Shin-Meishin expressway from the off-ramp, it is necessary to exit at the Suzuka PA Smart Interchange and re-enter the up-ramp from the same smart interchange.
