Daiso celebrates its 50th anniversary with “47 Prefectures Tote Bags. Total 47 types designed with trivia of each region.

Daiso Sangyo will release a 47-prefecture tote bag commemorating its 50th anniversary nationwide on November 4.

A total of 47 different tote bags (110 yen each) based on the concept of “making you love your hometown more. Illustrator Yutampo Shirane, whose illustrations are characterized by their simplicity and pop style, was used to design trivia about each region, such as Hokkaido, which has the largest uninhabited island in Japan, and Okinawa, which has the highest birth rate in Japan.

It is 32 x 32 cm and can hold an A4-size paper, and is environmentally friendly, using recycled fiber for approximately 60% of the raw materials. Each product will be sold exclusively at stores in each prefecture, and will be discontinued as soon as they are gone. Illustrations will be released on the official Daiso 50th anniversary account on Instagram from September 29.
