Posted on September 23, 2022 by News Admin

At Tourism Expo Japan 2022 (September 22-25), countries located in southern Africa are also exhibiting to promote their countries.

The main attractions of the African continent are breathtakingly beautiful scenery due to its dynamic topography and the chance to see lions, elephants, and other wild animals living in their majestic natural habitats. Near the equator is Mount Kilimanjaro (5895 m), the continent’s highest peak, and Lake Victoria, the world’s third largest lake in terms of water area. To the south are Lake Tanganyika, the second deepest lake in the world, and Lake Malawi, Africa’s third largest. Many national parks are spread out in the vicinity, and each country introduces activities that cannot be experienced in Japan, such as savanna tours of these parks.

SADC (Southern African Development Community) members: Embassy of the Republic of Angola, Embassy of the Republic of Botswana, Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique, Embassy of the Republic of Namibia, Embassy of the Republic of South Africa, Embassy of the Kingdom of Lesotho Embassy of the Republic of Madagascar, Embassy of the Republic of Malawi, Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania, Embassy of the Republic of Zambia, and Embassy of the Republic of Zimbabwe are introducing their countries’ attractions to visitors at a joint booth. In addition, the Tanzania Tourism Board and the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya will have individual booths, which visitors interested in African nature are encouraged to visit.
