In the Dhaka Metropolitan Area of Bangladesh, the number of vehicles owned increased five-fold from approximately 200,000 to 1 million between 2013 and 2018 due to economic growth and population increase (Dhaka Metropolitan Police, 2018), and road traffic congestion and road traffic accidents have become serious problems. Under these circumstances, Dhaka Metropolitan Police has been collecting traffic accident data, implementing traffic regulations, and providing traffic safety education to drivers. However, due to the lack of sufficient traffic accident information collection, more appropriate traffic accident analysis cannot be conducted, and appropriate measures for enforcement and traffic safety education based on accident analysis are not being taken. This cooperation is intended to help improve the traffic safety education system in the Dhaka Metropolitan Area. This cooperation will improve the capacity of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police to implement comprehensive road traffic safety measures in the Dhaka Metropolitan Region by strengthening its capacity for road safety education and public information, capacity for traffic accident reporting and analysis, and capacity for planning and implementation of traffic safety, traffic regulation, and enforcement, thereby Contribute to the reduction of the number of road traffic accidents and fatalities.
