Posted on September 2, 2022 by News Admin

The Japan Tourism Association, Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), and Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) announced the first booths of interest for Tourism EXPO Japan 2022, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (3-11-1 Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo) from September 24 to 25.

The theme of this year’s exhibition, the first to be held in Tokyo in four years, is “Challenges for a New Era – ReStart. Various exhibitors from more than 70 countries and regions around the world and 47 prefectures across Japan will come together to help revive the tourism industry, which has been hit hard by the impact of the new Corona virus, and to help travel demand recover. As a tourism resource for the new era, the event will see sustainable forms of travel that take diversity and the SDGs into consideration.

Among the most noteworthy booths will be a travel tech experience spot featuring technology such as metaverse and VR, and workshops from various regions where visitors can experience traditional culture. Eco-friendly food and gourmet items such as plant-based hamburgers and cricket snacks will also be available. There will also be a variety of stage events, such as visitor-participation events where you can win gifts, and special talk shows with celebrity guests.
