JR companies will release “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass” and “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass Hokkaido Shinkansen Option Ticket” from September 10 to October 21. The period of use is from October 1 to October 23.
The “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass” is a ticket for unlimited rides on ordinary and rapid trains and the JR West Miyajima Ferry throughout Japan, and is valid for three consecutive days. A separate fee is required when using reserved seats, green cars, or trains that require a boarding ticket. The ticket cannot be used on limited express trains including Shinkansen and express trains, and a separate ticket must be purchased. Prices are 7,850 yen for adults and 3,920 yen for children.
This year, as part of the “Commemoration of 150 Years of Railway Business,” the JR Hotel Group has prepared a special offer in addition to the discount on fares that was offered last year. The “Autumn Ride Mission to Commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Start of the Railroad Business! which is issued at the same time as the purchase of the ticket, visitors will receive a special stamp on the browser-based application “TRAIN TRIP” when they head to the stations listed on the ticket. In addition, the first 20 customers to make a rental car reservation at a station rental car office will receive an eco-bag.
The “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass Hokkaido Shinkansen Option Ticket” allows “Autumn Unlimited Ride Pass” holders only to use the Hokkaido Shinkansen between Okutsugaru-Mamabetsu Station and Kikouchi Station and the Donan Isaribi Railway Line between Kikouchi Station and Goryokaku Station once each way. On the Hokkaido Shinkansen, only the vacant seat of a standard car is available for the relevant section, and if you ride over to buy a section or use a standard car reserved seat, Green Car, or Grand Class, you will be charged the fare and charges for the entire section. Prices are ¥2,490 for adults and ¥1,240 for children.
