Posted on August 31, 2022 by News Admin

On September 1, Japan Travel Agency will release “14-Day Trip around the Japanese Islands by JR” as part of JR’s 150th Anniversary of Railway Service Campaign. Reservations can be made by calling Nippon Travel Agency (Otunavi/Zipangu Reservation Dial).

The 14-day tour, from November 3 to 16, will depart from and arrive at Kyoto Station. First, the tour will head from Kyoto to Wakura Onsen (Ishikawa Prefecture), sightseeing, and then board the limited express “Hanenoren” (bride’s curtain). The Hokuriku Shinkansen will take them to Tokyo, where they will participate in a guided tour of the Tokyo Station Building, and then to Hakodate via the “Cassiopeia Kiko” and Shinkansen from Ueno.

From Hakodate, the Shinkansen again heads south to Okayama, stopping in Sendai and Shizuoka. The “Yakumo” limited express train will take you to Shimane Prefecture, where you will visit Tamatsukuri Onsen Hot Springs and Izumo Taisha Shrine. After returning to Okayama, they will head to Shikoku, visiting the “Railway History Park” in Iyo Saijo (Ehime Prefecture). From there, the tour will visit the islands of the Seto Inland Sea before reaching Yamaguchi, where it will explore the streets of Tsuwano and Hagi.

The last three days of the tour will be spent in Kyushu. While riding the “Aru Train,” “Yufuin no Mori,” and “Ibusuki no Tamatebako,” they will visit the hot springs of Yufuin and Ibusuki, the Beppu ropeway, JR Nishi-Oyama Station (the southernmost point of JR), and Senganen, a scenic spot in Kagoshima, before returning to Kyoto via the Shinkansen.

The A Plan is priced at 1.5 million yen, the B Plan at 1.65 million yen, and the C Plan at 1.8 million yen per person for double occupancy, with the A Plan also available for single occupancy at 2 million yen.
