KDDI and JAL announced that they will develop technology to realize “one-to-many operation,” in which one pilot operates multiple drones, with the aim of making drones a social infrastructure.
The operation management system for remote control and autonomous flight of drones, jointly developed by KDDI and KDDI SmartDrone, will be combined with JAL’s operations, technology, and expertise in the air transportation business, including safety management and operation management related to air transportation.
The project will develop a flight control system for one-to-many operations, and conduct a demonstration for simultaneous flights of multiple drones in multiple airspaces.
