Navitime Japan began offering “ETC Toll Booth Avoidance Routes” on its “Truck Car Navi” (a car navigation application exclusively for trucks), “Car Navi Time” (a car navigation application), and “Touring Supporter” (a navigation application exclusively for motorcycles).
By turning off “ETC use” in the route search condition settings, routes can be searched that do not use ETC-only toll booths. Highway toll display also shows the amount without applying the ETC discount.
In addition, the color of the IC icon displayed on the map can be used to determine whether it is an ETC-only toll booth or not. Even when driving without navigation, the map shows whether a toll booth is ETC-only or not.
