Carmate will release the roof box “INNO Gear Carry 160” and “INNO Quick Base 60” on August 10 from the roof carrier brand “INNO” to simplify attachment to and removal from the carrier.
It was developed through a trial-and-error process to provide a safe structure and smooth transportation, taking into consideration the attachment and detachment to and from the carrier. By installing the “Quick Base” on the base carrier, the “Gear Carry” can be easily attached to and detached from the carrier only by operating a lever.
In addition, the tires are easy to roll in fields such as campgrounds and are less likely to make noise in condominium premises. The tires have been tested on uneven terrain, gravel roads along riverbeds, and on testing equipment to enhance durability. In consideration of direct placement at campsites, no mounting holes are provided on the bottom to prevent dirt and water from entering.
It has a capacity of 160 liters and can hold camping gear for up to two people. A special belt to secure the loaded gear is also included. The gear carry can be removed and stored at home when not needed.
Although the simple structure is designed so that the main unit does not become heavy, it is recommended that the cargo be thinned out or loaded by two persons before loading, depending on the weight of the cargo.
Prices are 71,500 yen for the Gear Carry and 27,500 yen for the Quick Base.
