NEXCO East Japan will open the Izuruhara Smart IC, which connects to the Izuruhara PA on the Kita-Kanto Expressway, at 15:00 on September 19.
The name “Izuruhara Smart IC” was chosen to indicate to users that it is a smart IC for ETC use only and that it is an entrance/exit to an existing PA.
The establishment of ICs is expected to improve accessibility to industrial organizations, tourist facilities, etc., increase the number of access route options, stimulate local industry by avoiding traffic congestion, promote tourism, and encourage the location of businesses. It is also expected to create a safe and comfortable living environment by expanding areas where transport time to emergency medical facilities can be shortened and access time to activity centers during disasters can be shortened.
