Skymark Airlines ranked first among the 10 airlines with a 98.44% on-time operation rate in FY2021, according to the “Information on Specified Japanese Air Carriers” released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
Specified domestic air carrier” means a domestic air carrier that operates an air transport service using an aircraft with more than 100 seats or a maximum takeoff weight of 50 tons. The on-time operation rate is calculated as the ratio of the number of flights that depart within 15 minutes after the scheduled departure time to the total number of flights. The company has been making company-wide efforts to operate aircraft on time.
This marks the fifth consecutive year that the airline has achieved the No. 1 on-time operation rate.
