Emergency Relief Aid for Drought Damage in the Republic of Kiribati -Delivery of Donated Goods


Emergency relief supplies provided by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for drought damage in the Republic of Kiribati have been delivered to the country.


Emergency relief supplies for Kiribati arrived in Tarawa on July 18. The exchange of signatures for the certificate of receipt of supplies took place on August 4, and upon signing the certificate, Mr. Willy Tokatake, Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy, who is in charge of receiving emergency relief supplies, stated that the valuable relief supplies provided by Japan would be delivered to the drought-stricken area after careful consideration from various perspectives to ensure they are put to good use.
