Posted on July 30, 2022 by News Admin

NEXCO West Japan is conducting large-scale renewal work between Suita JCT and Kobe JCT on the Chugoku Expressway from FY2020 to extend the service life of the expressway.

The traffic control schedule between Suita JCT and Takarazuka IC, scheduled to be implemented from August to December for the Chugoku Expressway renewal work in FY2022, has been decided.

From October 4 to November 12, both the up and down lanes between Suita JCT and Ikeda IC will be closed all day, and the up and down lanes between Ikeda IC and Takarazuka IC, which are currently closed all day, will be temporarily closed from August 10 to coincide with the Bon Festival, but will be closed all day from August 25 to late December.

NEXCO West Japan encourages motorists to divert to nearby expressways and ordinary roads, such as the Shin-Meishin Expressway, during the restricted period, and the “Shin-Meishin Urai Toll Discount” will be applied during the all-day closed period.

In addition, a campaign using the “Michitoku Detour Coupon” smartphone application will also be implemented. With this application, a maximum of 300 yen worth of points will be awarded for each detour, and the accumulated points can be exchanged for coupons and used for shopping.
