Marimo Holdings will open a sauna and fishing hotel “Setonotsu” at Katazoegahama beach in Suo Oshima Town (Yashirojima Island), Yamaguchi Prefecture, on August 1.
Located at Katazoegahama Beach, which has been selected as one of the “100 Best Pleasure Beaches” by the Ministry of the Environment, the hotel is limited to 7 rooms per day. The first “barrel sauna” in Yamaguchi Prefecture is available only for guests staying at the hotel. The water bath uses groundwater pumped directly from the ground. The water bath uses underground water pumped directly from the ground. The facility is also equipped with a deck where visitors can bathe in the open air.
The meals will be prepared by the owner-chef of Shikisai Tanaka, using seasonal ingredients from Suo Oshima, purchased directly from local farmers and fishermen.
