Lightweight and compact Dutch oven & grill plate from Iwatani’s outdoor brand “FORE WINDS”

Posted on July 26, 2022 by News Admin

FORE WINDS, an outdoor brand by Iwatani Corporation, has released MINI DUTCH OVEN and MICRO GRILL PLATE, light and compact cooking utensils made of aluminum alloy. The products will be sold sequentially at the official online store Iwatani iCollect, as well as at Iwatani Outdoor Shop BASE, outdoor specialty stores, and sports mass merchandisers.

This product was developed to reduce the “bulky” and “heavy” burdens that are one of the concerns of campers, and to make it easy to use. The “MINI DUTCH OVEN” (6,600 yen) weighs approximately 1,210 grams, about half the weight of a typical iron Dutch oven of the same size, and requires no time-consuming seasoning. It is square in shape and can be compactly stored by removing the handle. The “MICRO GRILL PLATE” (2,200 yen), on the other hand, has a handle that can be attached to the body as well as the lid, improving ease of use during cooking. If the handle is attached to the lid and flipped over, it can be used as a skillet. The palm-sized design makes it easy to carry.

The aluminum alloy is also an excellent heat conductor, allowing you to enjoy authentic camp cooking. Each handle can also be used as a spatula to scrape off dirt. The inner surface of the body is coated with a non-stick fluorine resin finish that is easy to clean.
