“Rakuten STAY VILLA Aso Kurokawa” opens on a mountainside in Aso County, Kumamoto Prefecture

Posted on July 24, 2022 by News Admin

Rakuten LIFULL STAY will open “Rakuten STAY VILLA Aso Kurokawa” (6843-16 Manganji, Minami-Oguni, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture), an accommodation facility limited to 5 groups per day, in Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture, on July 28. In advance of the opening, the company began accepting reservations for lodging.

A total of five stand-alone villas are located on a lush green mountainside at an altitude of 800 meters. The living room, dining room, and bedroom all face wide windows, allowing guests to enjoy forest views from the bright, open rooms. Each room has an area of over 110m2 including the wooden deck, and can accommodate up to 6 people.

In the stone baths located in all buildings, you can enjoy natural hot spring water from the source while gazing out the window at the forest. Private saunas are also provided, and when bathing outside, guests can lie on deck chairs on the approximately 30 m2 wooden deck and enjoy the “Totooto” time while bathing in the forest. The wooden deck is also equipped with a fire pit, a first for “Rakuten STAY.

One of the five buildings is a pet-friendly room with a dedicated dog run. Up to two large dogs can stay together, and amenities such as pet gauges, food bowls, and toilet seats are available.

Room rates start at 25,000 yen per night per room.
