NEXCO West Japan Chugoku Branch will open the Unnan Kamo Smart IC on the Onomichi Matsue Route (E54) of the Trans-Chugoku Expressway, which has been under construction with Unnan City, to traffic at 15:00 on August 7.
The location is between the Mitoya-Kiji IC and the Shishido JCT (10.6 km) in Miyoshiro, Kamo-cho, Unnan City, Shimane Prefecture. With the opening of the new road, the distance between the Mitoya-Kisetsu Interchange and the Unnan-Kamo Smart Interchange will be 4.5 km, and the distance between the Unnan-Kamo Smart Interchange and Shishido JCT will be 6.1 km. 24-hour, all-directional access is available, and all vehicles equipped with an ETC onboard device (except vehicles exceeding 12 m in length) are eligible to use the road.
