Aderans sells the BeauStage ELEGANJET, a hair dryer that can be folded up and carried around. We asked Ryuichi Takano of the company’s Beauty & Health Product Planning and Development Department about the aims of the development.
–What is the story behind the development of the product?
Mr. Takano: We are currently selling two scalp dryers: the N-LED Sonic KAMIGA, which was jointly developed with Sharp and will be released in May 2021, and the Bosley LEXT Professional, which is sold exclusively to beauty salons. This time, we aimed to launch a product that differentiates itself from the two other dryers by being “small yet powerful” and “small yet capable of reducing static electricity”.
–what features do they have?
Takano: “Vital Ion,” which reduces static electricity generated by approximately 97%, a patented original magnetic attachment, the latest AI Protect function that automatically stops the dryer when it detects danger, a patent-pending auto-cleaning function, and the Jay Engine for powerful wind and 10 beauty innovations.
–What are the points of particular interest?
Mr. Takano: The features I mentioned earlier are also points of particular concern, but we are particularly particular about the deep gloss and coloring of the elegan jet. The painting technology that produces the deep gloss and coloring is named “vivid color/avy,” and is available in two colors, Italian Red and Midnight Black.
–What kind of people would you like to see use the product?
Takano: The EleganJet is a compact and foldable hair dryer that fits small in a bag. For this reason, we hope it will be used by a wide range of people of all ages and genders, including not only barbershop salons, but also people who travel to various places on business trips and businessmen who travel around the country on business.
