A 45-degree dive into a thicket of thorns! A must-go attraction where you must get wet! Splash Mountain, located in Critter Country, is a popular attraction that will celebrate its 30th anniversary in October 2022. The story of Splash Mountain is that you board a log boat and go on an adventure with Blair Rabbit in search of the “Land of Laughs”. This summer, under the title of “Splash Mountain ‘Soaking Wet MAX,'” the attraction will feature more dynamic water-soaked tricks than usual. This special feature is sure to bring smiles to visitors’ faces, and is attracting a great deal of attention. As you proceed through the museum, you will see signs everywhere that say “Drenching MAX” is underway, and your anticipation will grow even stronger. After boarding a log boat, the attraction begins with lively music. Disney fans must have heard “Everybody Has A Laughing Place” and “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” playing in the attraction at least once. In the story, Usagi-don (Bunny-don) slips through a series of traps set by “Fox-don (Blair Fox)” and “Bear-don (Blair Bear),” but at the end of his adventure, he finds himself in a big trouble. The highlight of this year’s film is the increased water volume that awaits at the climax of the adventure. When you dive from a height of 16 meters into the waterfall, which has a maximum slope of 45 degrees, the water volume at the moment of fall is at its “maximum”! Take waterproof measures to protect your valuables, and be prepared to get soaked all over. Don’t worry if you get soaked to the skin. The park has a variety of apparel available, including T-shirts, aloha shirts, and bottoms perfect for summer. Chilly or hot for a power charge! Summer Limited Menu: Both Refreshingly Cool and Hot! In addition to the refreshingly cool menu, the park also sells a hot sauce that can be changed to hot. After a day of fun in the wet attractions, take a meal or a break to recover your energy. Camp Woodchuck Kitchen in Western Land offers a “Special Set” (1,310 yen) that includes chilled noodles, french fries, and a drink to savor on a hot afternoon. The main dish, “Chilled Shrimp and Egg Noodles with Yuzu Salt and Shrimp Spring Rolls,” features a refreshing yuzu-flavored soup. It is topped with crispy shrimp spring rolls and tomatoes. The thickened egg can be mixed with the soup. For an additional 1,200 yen, a “souvenir plate” is included. This is the “SUISUI SUMMER” version with an illustration of Disney friends floating in the water and enjoying summer. It looks cool and deep enough to use for chilled noodles and other dishes after you get home. The “Sparkling Drink (Lime & Mint) with Souvenir Coaster” (1,150 yen) is a refreshing drink with mint and lime flavors. You can enjoy the change in flavor by mixing and sipping. The coaster comes with a miniature float-type coaster, so be sure to take a picture of it and enjoy. Next is the “Special Set” (1,120 yen) available at the Sweetheart Café in World Bazaar. The main dish is a “Beef Kalbi Sandwich (onion, potato salad, cheese)” with beef ribs and potato salad sandwiched on a Mickey Mouse-inspired floating bun, and comes with grape jelly and a drink. The beef kalbi with black pepper and gently seasoned potatoes will give your body a boost after a hard day’s play. A “Souvenir Lunch Case” is also available for an additional 1,250 yen. This one has a mesh pocket inside to hold a coolant. In summer, it is best to use it at the park not to carry meals, but to put drinks such as PET bottles in it to rehydrate yourself. In addition, those who want to taste hot summery menu items can try “Make a Change”. Currently, the first item on the menu is “Spicy Harissa Sauce” (110 yen). Add the special sauce to your favorite menu item, and it will be transformed into a spicy taste. The sauce is an original blend of cumin, coriander, chili powder, and other spices, plus paprika and tomato sauce, and is truly “deliciously spicy. For example, add it to the “Chicken Tenders & Corn Chips with Cheese Sauce” (500 yen) at Plasma Ray’s Diner, and you will find that the sauce is so hot that you will break out in a sweat and become addicted to the taste. You can also add it to French fries (280 yen), curry, hot dogs, and other items sold at each restaurant, so you can change the flavor to your liking.
