“biometric smart check-in” demonstration experiment at a golf course

Posted on June 29, 2022 by News Admin

ANA Digital Gate, Hitachi, and G-Plan have announced that they will conduct a joint verification experiment of a smart check-in service using finger vein authentication to support the DX (Digital Transformation) of stores. The experiment will be conducted at the Hayarai Country Club (671-1 Hayarai Shin-ei, Ahira-cho, Yufutsu-gun, Hokkaido) from July 4 to November 13 (tentative).

This service allows users to register their personal information and finger vein information on a dedicated terminal at the time of first use, so that from the second time onward, they can check in quickly and safely by simply holding their finger over the terminal.

Until now, users of the golf course have had to fill out a form by hand at the reception desk, but the DX, which makes full use of the latest technology, will improve the efficiency of the reception process and respond to the new contactless and paperless systems recommended by new lifestyles.

In addition, upon initial registration and the second and subsequent finger vein smart check-ins, customers will receive a choice of miles (ANA/United Airlines)/nanaco points (or they can choose to donate to the Japanese Red Cross Society).

This is the first demonstration experiment in Japan of a system combining biometric authentication and mileage/points. By verifying the usefulness of finger vein smart check-in and commercializing the system, the company aims to support DX not only for golf courses but also for stores that require membership information registration, as well as to improve the customer experience.
