This shop sells many DVDs of Korean dramas and idols. However, I was more interested in food than idols and dramas, so I bought a few food items. There are many Korean restaurants on Mikawashima, but surprisingly, there are also many Indian restaurants. And then I found a halal food store. Halal is a food formula defined by Islamic law. Since it is forbidden to eat pork, beans are often used. I have loved biryani (Indian-style cooked rice) since I had it for the first time in London. I bought basmati rice for biryani and mixed beans for various dishes here.

Let’s Dancing at the Salsa Club “Salud” I was studying abroad in Argentina, and there was a lot of Latin American music such as cumbia, salsa, and bachata playing in the streets of Buenos Aires. I knew that there were many salsa clubs in Tokyo, but this time, a friend’s band was playing at Salud, a salsa club in Nippori, and I was ready to dance. Usually, Salud offers salsa and other Latin American dance lessons and performances, but since this was a disco event, we started with a step lecture and then moved on to the band performance. It was fun to dance with a live band! The staff at Salud is very friendly, and you can enjoy yourself even if you go alone. After enjoying the performance and dancing in an at-home atmosphere, I went to Jazz Bar Porto, where I also performed.
