Weathernews released its “Extreme Heat View 2022.
Summer (July-September) 2022 temperatures are expected to be above normal over a wide area. Okinawa will be near to above normal, while western to northern Japan will be above normal. The heat is expected to peak in the second half of July and August, and the timing of the overhang of the Pacific High and the Tibetan High is expected to be extremely hot; the rainy season will end by mid-July in many areas, and the hot season will begin earlier than normal. In addition, western and eastern Japan will experience lingering summer heat.
