Tokyo Summerland to Open Outdoor Pool Area “Adventure Lagoon” in July

Posted on June 20, 2022 by News Admin

Tokyo Summerland (600 Kamishirotsugu, Akiruno, Tokyo) will fully open its outdoor pool area, Adventure Lagoon, on July 1.

There will be a total of five types of pools, including “Great Journey,” one of the largest flowing pools in Japan with a circumference of 650 meters, “DEKASLA,” an attraction in which visitors slide down from a huge 24-meter-high course on a special rubber boat, “dobon,” a new sensation of sliding down into the water, and “Screamer,” a thrilling plunge down from a height of 10 meters. The “dobon,” a new type of slider that offers a new sensation of falling into the water, and the “screamer,” which offers the thrill of plummeting down from a height of 10 meters, are among the eight types of water slides that can be enjoyed at this event.

In addition, for the first time in three years, the park will host “Sa Mermaid Party,” an entertainment show that was planned in 2019 and received a great response. Mermaids in colorful costumes will parade through the park, and there will be dancing and a water cannon watering festival on the outdoor stage. The show will be held from July 23 to 31 and is free of charge, with two performances a day (12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.) and a meet and greet (4:30 p.m.).
