Posted on June 3, 2022 by News Admin

Seiko Watch will release two new models from King Seiko on July 8, 2012, representing “The Newest Classic.

The reissue of the second generation King Seiko, called “KSK,” is limited to 1,700 pieces worldwide and priced at 385,000 yen. The special edition inspired by the Fujinami of Kameido Tenjin will be priced at 214,500 yen.

The KSK reissue model faithfully reproduces the design of the period while adding design features not found in the original stainless steel model. Champagne silver is used for the dial, and yellow gold color is used for the multi-faceted cut indexes and sharply shaped hands. The case, with its distortion-free mirror finish, is characterized by its sharp shape. The box-shaped sapphire glass, developed to reproduce the acrylic glass silhouette of the time with a wider viewing angle, is coated with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface.

The back of the watch is decorated with a yellow gold-colored medallion with the brand mark in the shape of the King Seiko “shield” motif. In addition, the design of “KSK” is reproduced throughout, including the delicate Seiko logo and “W” mark on the crown, which was a sign of water resistance, and the Seiko logo on the bezel.

In addition, a model inspired by the wisteria waves at Kameido Tenjinja Shrine, which stands near the factory in Kameido, Tokyo, where King Seiko was born. The purple dial expresses the beauty of wisteria with a radiant finish and gradation to represent the wisteria waves, and the design of the KSK is inherited, with three-dimensional indexes and long, thick hands to ensure legibility.
