“Terroir Journey” : Enjoy the uniqueness of Hyogo prefecture

The JR Group and the Hyogo Destination Campaign Promotion Council will launch the “Hyogo Destination Campaign” in the summer of 2023 to promote tourism in the region. Ahead of the campaign, a pre-campaign with the catchphrase “Hyogo Terroir Journey – My impression, and beyond. The pre-campaign will be held from July to September under the slogan “Hyogo Terroir Journey – My Impression, and Beyond.


The campaign, which will be led by the prefectural government, tourism-related organizations, businesses, and 39 other organizations throughout Hyogo Prefecture, will offer a variety of programs to enjoy the terroir, which means “local individuality,” through experiencing the food, history, culture, and industry of the five Hyogo provinces (Settsu, Harima, Tanba, Tajima, and Awaji). JR West’s special express train “WEST EXPRESS Ginga” will operate for the opening of the pre-campaign on July 1. A departure ceremony will be held at Osaka Station’s platform 3, and a welcome ceremony will be held at Kinosaki Onsen Station square. 6 round trips will be made per day between Osaka Station and Kinosaki Onsen Station (via Fukuchiyama Line) for three days from July 1 to 3. Tickets are available at Nippon Ryoko and Hankyu Express.


Travel plans that include JR and hotels, as well as special bus tickets, can also be booked and purchased through travel agencies and transportation companies.
