Thailand: building resilient health system through waterfront measures

Posted on May 20, 2022 by News Admin

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Grant Agreement (G/A) with the Royal Thai Government on May 19 in Bangkok for a grant of up to 500 million yen for the “Emergency Assistance Plan for Responding to the New Coronavirus Infectious Disease Crisis.

This project aims to strengthen the quarantine system in Thailand and the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases in the border area as a waterfront measure to prepare for future threats of infectious diseases, thereby contributing to the establishment of a robust health system in preparation for the post-corona crisis. This will contribute to SDG (Sustainable Development Goal) Goal 3 (health and well-being for all).
