Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Waikiki “Classic Omelette”

Posted on May 18, 2022 by News Admin

I thought that breakfast in Hawaii (U.S.A.) should be pancakes or omelets, so I went outside to check out IHOP next to the hotel, but the waiting area was too crowded, and there was a huge line outside Denny’s Lewers next to the Halekulani. I tried Denny’s Leewards next to Halekulani, but the line was so long that I had to abandon the idea of taking out a coffee at Island Vintage Coffee. It seems that everyone is thinking the same thing.

I went up to the third floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center to see if there was anything else, and sure enough, there it was: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse (2301 Kalakaua Ave, Honolulu, HI). The seats were empty, probably because everyone thought it was a place where people came to eat meat.

Breakfast at Wolfgang’s? You may be thinking, “But they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and their breakfast menu includes omelets, eggs Benedict, French toast, and all the other breakfast favorites. Of course, if you are so inclined, you can have US Prime beef grilled in the morning.

I ordered the Classic Omelet ($18.95, about 2,500 yen, converted to $1.00, about 131 yen) and hot coffee ($4.95, about 650 yen). Coffee is bottomless. The omelet came with either fries or salad, and I chose the fries (they tell you to be careful because they are very hot).

A satisfying omelette, roasted potatoes, and coffee that is poured until you stop are a great way to start the morning. I highly recommend this unexpected Wolfgang’s breakfast.
