Hakuba Alps Hotel announced that construction of a new lift at the Hakuba Norikura Onsen ski resort (12851 Norikura Kogen, Kotani-mura, Kitaazumi-gun, Nagano Prefecture), which has been planned for some time, will begin on May 20.
The new lift will be installed next to the Alps No. 5 High Speed Pair Lift, which will take skiers to an elevation of 1,598 meters, 898 meters above sea level to the Alps No. 1 Pair Lift. Since the groundbreaking ceremony on May 20, construction has been underway to complete the “Hakuba” long run course, which will be in operation from the winter of 2022 to 2023.
The Hakuba Alps Hotel, a resort hotel adjacent to the Hakuba Norikura Onsen ski resort, offers a full range of facilities, including a natural hot spring and swimming pool, and day-trip bathing is available. In May 2021, the outdoor facility “Hakuba Alps Tree Adventure” opened on the north side of “Wakakuri Onsen Norikura-so” (Wakakuri Hot Spring), where visitors can enjoy full-scale athletic activities using trees in the great nature at the foot of Mt.
