16 traditional crafts companies in Kyoto participated in the “Disney Kyoto Traditional Crafts Series”

Posted on May 11, 2022 by News Admin

In order to revitalize Kyoto’s traditional industries and promote their attractiveness both domestically and internationally, Kyoto City is promoting various initiatives, such as product development, in cooperation with other fields, including the content industry, such as manga and anime, and fashion magazines.

As part of this effort, we are pleased to announce that the “Disney/Kyoto Traditional Crafts Series,” in which Disney characters are expressed by Kyoto’s traditional industries, will be exhibited in the underground passageway of the main building of Kyoto City Hall, with the cooperation of Shintsu, Inc.

We hope that many people will visit the exhibition and learn about the appeal and new possibilities of Kyoto’s traditional industries.

Some of the products are available at the “MOCAD ONLINE SHOP (https://mocad-shop.com/collections/disney)” operated by the Museum of Kyoto Traditional Industries.
