We are pleased to announce the opening of the “Osanpo Museum of Art” in the Shinmachi shopping street (Kita-ku, Kyoto City, Kita-machi-dori Kita-oji north side to Shinmachi-dori Kitayama south side).
This project is a year-round exhibition of pictures painted by local residents at stores in the shopping arcade, and is based on the new vision for the shopping arcade, “A Shopping Arcade Built by the Community,” which was developed as part of the “Shopping Arcade Regional Resource Utilization Project*” implemented by Kyoto City.
We aim to increase awareness of the shopping district, promote customer attraction, and ultimately revitalize the surrounding area through initiatives that encourage local residents to participate.

This is a Kyoto City project that aims to brand the area centered on the shopping district by dispatching coordinators to the shopping district and supporting sustainable efforts to promote the attraction of visitors through cooperation among the community, organizations, and the shopping district.
