NEXCO East Japan Introduces “Winter Pass 2027,” a Round-Trip Discount Plan to the Interchange Closest to Ski Resorts. Get Even Better Deals with Accommodations and Lift Ticket Bundles

Posted on October 30, 2026 by Editor in Chief

On October 29, NEXCO East Japan began selling the “Dora-Wari ‘Winter Pass 2027’,” a discount package available exclusively to ETC-equipped vehicles. Applications are being accepted on the official website, “Dora-Pura.”

This program offers discounted highway tolls for trips from departure areas such as the Tokyo metropolitan area, Sendai, Niigata, and Mito to destination areas where the nearest interchange to a ski resort is located. The program is valid for up to three consecutive days between December 4 and April 22, 2027 (excluding the year-end and New Year holidays and three-day weekends).

The service is available for passenger cars and light vehicles equipped with ETC. It offers a “Round-Trip Plan,” which allows users to make one round trip at a discounted rate, and a “Set Plan,” which provides unlimited travel within the destination area when users make separate reservations for accommodations or ski lift tickets.

For example, for a round-trip package departing from and returning to the Tokyo metropolitan area and heading to Nasu and Shiobara, the sale price is 6,100 yen for a standard car (compared to a total regular weekday daytime fare of 7,690 yen), saving you 1,590 yen. For a package plan that includes a lift ticket at Grandeco Snow Resort via the Urawa IC and Inawashiro Bandai Kogen IC, the price for a standard car is 11,400 yen (compared to a total standard weekday daytime fare of 17,010 yen), saving you 5,610 yen.

In addition, users will receive special discounts at tourist attractions, hot spring facilities, and service areas near their destinations. Furthermore, a campaign will be held to award additional ETC Mileage Points equivalent to 15% of the purchase price to users who make purchases on weekdays only.
