“Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue” Opens in Tomorrowland! Enjoy sweet-and-sour popcorn and a countdown event!

Posted on October 29, 2026 by Editor in Chief

To coincide with the attraction’s opening, a gift shop and a popcorn stand will also open. In addition, a program that allows visitors to get a sneak peek of the attraction’s atmosphere will begin in January 2027.

A new attraction opens to mark the park’s 44th anniversary

The new attraction “Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue,” coming soon to Tomorrowland, is based on the movie “Sugar Rush.”

Just like in the movie, the villain King Candy goes on a rampage, determined to conquer the game world. Leading the Sugar Bugs—which are programmed to devour all the candy in the game, such as ice cream and gummy bears—he sets out to destroy the world of “Sugar Rush.”

The guest teams up with Ralph and Vanellope, hops into a vehicle, and heads into the game world to stop this scheme. The story follows their mission to turn the Sugar Bugs back into their original cute candy forms.

Guests use devices installed in the vehicles to restore the bugs to their original forms. As they do so, points are added to the on-board display, increasing their score. Guests can review their scores on the Tokyo Disney Resort app for a certain period of time, and they can also purchase photos taken automatically during the experience.

To use certain attractions, you may need to obtain a “Standby Pass” (free) or purchase “Disney Premier Access” (for a fee).
