“The Great Tamagotchi Exhibition” to Be Held in Fukuoka. Tickets with Limited-Edition Merchandise Will Be Sold via Lottery Starting October 31

Posted on October 27, 2026 by Editor in Chief

The Fukuoka Organizing Committee for the Great Tamagotchi Exhibition will hold the “30th Anniversary Great Tamagotchi Exhibition” at the Mitsukoshi Gallery on the 9th floor of Fukuoka Mitsukoshi (2-1-1 Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City). The exhibition will run from December 29 to January 25, 2027.

The exhibition looks back on the history of “Tamagotchi,” the digital pet released by Bandai in 1996 that sparked a massive craze, particularly among high school girls at the time, and offers visitors an experience that makes them feel as if they’ve stepped right inside a Tamagotchi.

Advance tickets for the end of the year (December 29–31) and for weekends and holidays will be available in limited quantities on a time- and date-specific basis. A lottery-based sale will begin at 10:00 a.m. on October 31, followed by a first-come, first-served sale starting at 10:00 a.m. on November 21. In addition, advance tickets for weekdays will go on sale on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on November 21, and same-day tickets for weekdays will go on sale starting December 29, also on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be available at Ticket Pia, Lawson Ticket, and ARTNE Ticket Online.

In addition, “Admission Tickets with Merchandise” (advance date-and-time-specific tickets, advance weekday tickets, and same-day weekday tickets), which include a Tamagotchi Shaka-Shaka drawstring pouch, will be available exclusively through Lawson Ticket. For each ticket type, sales will begin at the times mentioned above via a lottery or on a first-come, first-served basis.

Admission fees are 1,800 yen for general admission and college students (1,600 yen in advance), 1,300 yen for high school students (1,100 yen in advance), 800 yen for elementary and middle school students (600 yen in advance), and 3,900 yen for tickets that include merchandise (3,700 yen in advance); preschoolers are free.

In addition, visitors will receive a “Great Tamagotchi Exhibition Limited Edition Acrylic Card” as a special gift. Visitors will receive one card at random from a selection of seven designs each for the first half of the exhibition (December 29–January 11, 2027) and the second half (January 12–25, 2027), for a total of 14 designs.
