Reservations Are Now Open for Three Limited-Edition Cottages Inspired by the “Long-tailed Tit’s Nest” Concept at the Tokachi Glamping Facility, Ferieendorf

Posted on October 27, 2026 by Editor in Chief

“Glamping Resort Fährendorf” (4-sen Minami-Tokiwa-Higashi, Nakasatsunai Village, Kawashi District, Hokkaido), operated by Capital Zenrin, has begun accepting reservations for its “Long-tailed Tit Cottages,” with a limit of three cottages per day.

Designed around the concept of “a long-tailed tit’s nest in a winter forest,” each cottage accommodates up to 5 guests (up to 6 with an extra bed). The interior is decorated with art panels depicting long-tailed tits perched on branches, plush toys, and a birch-style illuminated tree. These cottages, built in a classic German style, exude the warmth of wood and are fully equipped with a covered BBQ area, a kitchen, beds with Slumberland mattresses, and Wi-Fi.

In addition to serving “Striped Tit Snow-Viewing Hot Pot”—which recreates the appearance of a striped tit using grated daikon radish—during dinner, the facility also plans to offer rentals of binoculars, observation maps, and observation journals starting around late November, when the striped tits become visible.

This concept room was developed following a joint survey with photographer “Kita no Camera @ The Person Who Photographs Long-tailed Tits in Tokachi,” which confirmed that long-tailed tits had been spotted in the forest on the property. Since these are wild birds, the seasons and times of day when they can be spotted vary depending on conditions; however, the guest rooms—which highlight the unique charm of this forest—will be available year-round.
