It’s Not Just for Summer! Enjoy a Luxurious All-Inclusive Fall and Winter Getaway at the “Grand Mercure Okinawa Zanpa Misaki Resort”

Posted on October 27, 2026 by Editor in Chief

A Tour of the Executive Junior Suites, Perfect for Families and Three-Generation Groups The hotel also offers a variety of other attractive guest rooms. This time, we were able to tour two “Junior Suites” located on the Executive Floor. Both rooms feature a spacious tatami room and can accommodate up to six guests, including two children sharing a bed. The living room and bedroom are separated by modern lattice doors featuring a design inspired by Okinawa’s “Minsa weaving,” which gently filters the light. This luxurious space is sure to delight families with young children, as well as multigenerational travelers looking to stretch out and relax on Ryukyu tatami mats.

Partially heated, so you can swim in a swimsuit even in fall and winter! One of the Largest All-Day Pools in the Prefecture This all-day pool, one of the largest in Okinawa, is a highlight of any fall or winter trip. You might think, “An outdoor pool? Isn’t it cold?” you might wonder, but believe it or not, the main pool here is equipped with a heating system, so you can enjoy swimming in your swimsuit year-round—even in fall and winter—without worrying about the cold. Around the “Yukuru Pool,” where adults can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, you’ll find comfortable umbrellas, deck chairs, and float mats—all available free of charge as part of your stay. The resort also features the “Waraba Pool,” where small children can play safely, and the “Umanchu Pool,” where everyone—from kids to adults—can have fun together. Another must-see is the giant water slide, the “Ultra Boomerang.” This thrilling attraction lets you zoom down from a towering structure—both adults and children will be so excited they’ll lose track of time! The heated water period typically runs from November 1 through the following spring. The main “Tingara Pool” with its lazy river, the “Yukuru Pool” (for guests 18 and older only), and the “Water Slides” are all part of the heated pool area. *Please note that the All-Day Pool may be unavailable at times due to renovation work. Please check the hotel’s official website for details.

A large public bath where you can refresh yourself in a scenic bath surrounded by lush greenery or in the sauna. After enjoying the pool, you can head straight to the large public bath on the first floor. In addition to the spacious indoor bath, the rock-lined open-air bath allows you to gently ease the fatigue of your journey while feeling the pleasant sea breeze. Furthermore, the view from the panoramic bath—where you can feel the East China Sea up close through the lush greenery—is truly resort-like. A sauna is also available, allowing you to fully enjoy a time to “recharge” and rejuvenate. The spacious powder room is clean and easy to use, and since this is an all-inclusive resort, you’ll appreciate being able to visit as often as you like during your stay without any hesitation.

An Executive Lounge Where Families Can Relax and Enjoy Themselves Without Worry The “Executive Lounge,” located on the top floor (13th floor), is an exclusive lounge accessible only to guests staying on the Executive Floor. From the window-side seats, you can enjoy an unobstructed, panoramic view of the endless horizon and the stunning Zampa Cape Lighthouse. It’s simply magnificent! The Executive Lounge offers a wide variety of food and drinks tailored to different times of the day—all complimentary—from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. For example, during “Afternoon” service—which you can enjoy right after check-in—a wide array of sweets, such as bite-sized cakes and mango pudding, are lined up. It’s the perfect way to elegantly toast the start of your trip with sparkling wine or coffee. During “Evening” starting at 5:00 PM, you’ll find Okinawan-style snacks like Jima-mi tofu and mimiga (pig’s ear) tossed with peanuts, as well as caponata that pairs perfectly with wine. You can enjoy a luxurious pre-dinner aperitif while gazing at the sunset. During the “Nightcap” session after dinner, the selection of alcoholic beverages expands to include options like “Moët & Chandon” and the local “Ryukyu Awamori Zanpa Premium,” transforming the space into a distinctly sophisticated atmosphere. Then, starting at 6:30 p.m., “Breakfast” offers a well-balanced and abundant selection ranging from a Western-style menu featuring a wide variety of breads—such as croissants and baguettes—to Japanese dishes like “Jūshi,” an Okinawan-style seasoned rice.

A wellness experience where you can feel the Ryukyu breeze! “Parent-Child Ryukyu Pilates” What makes your stay in Okinawa even more special is “Parent-Child Ryukyu Pilates,” held poolside on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays starting at 6:30 a.m. (approx. 40 minutes, free) . It’s the perfect chance to experience the saying “The early bird catches the worm” right here at the resort! In the crisp morning air, parents and children can have fun moving their bodies comfortably while focusing on their core strength right by the poolside. After the session, you’ll feel lighter, and the breakfast buffet that follows will taste even better. Plus, in case of rain, the session is held indoors in the “Precious Hall,” so you can participate without worrying about the weather—another great perk. Parent-Child Ryukyu Pilates Schedule: Every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday

Start Time: 7:00 a.m. (approx. 40 minutes; lesson lasts approx. 30 minutes)

*From July through August, the event starts at 6:30 a.m. The dates and times are subject to change starting in January 2027.
