Kinki Nippon Tourist will begin accepting online reservations for the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” travel assistance program for Nagasaki and Kumamoto prefectures on October 15 at 2:00 p.m.
The maximum discount amount is 20,000 yen per night for accommodations only, 20,000 yen per night for tours, and 30,000 yen for stays of two nights or more. Additionally, tours in Fukuoka Prefecture have been on sale since 2:00 p.m. on October 14, and sales for all options will end once the maximum discount amount is reached.
About the “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount”
The “Kyushu Recovery Support Discount” announced by the Japan Tourism Agency provides a subsidy of up to 50 percent of travel costs (up to 60 percent in Kumamoto and Kagoshima) to domestic and international visitors, with the aim of reviving travel demand in the seven prefectures of Kyushu, which has declined due to the effects of the Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake.
In addition to direct bookings at participating accommodations, reservations will be accepted in stages through travel agencies and OTAs designated by each prefecture (the implementation period varies depending on local government budgets).
